 Susan has given engaging, powerful keynotes, as well as breakout sessions throughout the United States and Canada. She has opened conferences, served as a luncheon speaker, and provided kick-off speeches for in-service days, superintendents' trainings, staff development sessions, and summer institutes.
Her keynotes range in length from 30 minutes to an hour and a half and cover topics related to the importance of making reading a joyful adventure for children and teaching comprehension strategies explicitly and thoughtfully so literacy will be accessible to all children. She has spoken to a wide range of audiences including teachers, administrators, college students, and parents.
